This past week I took the kids on their monthly daddy date and I asked them what they like and enjoy. I want to do things with the kids and I want them to have fun doing it. Sometimes I try and take them to do things I enjoy. I took Oliver to the sporting goods store the other day thinking we’d look at guns and fishing and hunting gear and have a great time. He did not enjoy that. Ashley encouraged me to find out what they enjoy and do that with them instead. I can still take them to do things I enjoy too, but maybe start with what they enjoy. It got me thinking – do I ever do these things with the kids?
